#133 Cuban Car Culture

American cars have been imported for many years prior to the Castro government take over and U.S. embargo and Cuba has become a living museum of car culture stuck in time. These rolling works of art have been morphed into beautiful works of vehicular style with minimal technology and reliable sources for parts. A culture of a vibrant people with a zest for life and style blends into vehicle design and in most occasions, a knack for keeping it simple but functionable.

On this edition of the show we are privileged to welcome author and car enthusiast Tom Cotter as he shares his journey with the fascinating Cuban Car Culture of history and today. He reveals everything from Russian engines blended with old school Chevy vehicles, to the very Cuban ingenuity that keeps these vehicular time pieces moving from generation to generation.
